The Great Pantry Purge
It's that time of year again. The pantry is so full of Christmas extras and non-perishables from the past year that you literally can't get in the door. And so, begins the Great Pantry Purge.
Word of warning to all that may eat here. Dinners in January may be interesting! I vow to buy only meat and staples until I work my way through the boxes, cans and bags of food spilling out of the pantry!
Wonder what I can do with six cans of tuna and a box of Wheat Chex…

Easy Entertaining
Now that Christmas is over, let's just relax for the next week or so, what do you say? One of my favorite dishes to entertain with is Spinach and Artichoke dip. I've made it from scratch and I've used a mix, and I have to tell you, this mix from Tastefully Simple is darn good! Someone comments every time I make it!
Just in time for your New Years party, Tastefully Simple Consultant Teresa Whitehouse has graciously agreed to give away two Artichoke and Spinach Warm Dip Mixes! I'll be choosing two random Facebook fans this evening!

The First Day of Christmas Treats – Raspberry Thumbprints
If you make nothing else I suggest this holiday season, you must make these thumbprints! And you might as well go ahead and double the recipe, because I promise it won't be enough!
These are Allen's favorite cookie that I make, so you know I am obliged to make them every holiday season, and most special occasions. I haven't made them yet this year, so this picture is an old one and not the best.
It's from my cookie exchange two years ago. What a fun evening that was!
Stay tuned for more yummy recipes all the way up to Christmas!
