Yesterday, I had the pleasure of co-hosting a Baby Shower for my sweet friend, Maribeth. Not just any shower – a dessert shower! A wonderful time was had by all!
Before Maribeth got there, all of us busy co-hosting bees converged on Lana's house and set to work laying out our yummy treats. Here's just a glimpse of the deliciousness to be had.The Scene:
A little closer up, the Fountain of Heaven:
Cookies, cookies, cookies:
We all agreed we're kind of over the whole games at baby showers thing, so instead, Lana prepared a basket full of diapers and assorted sharpies. Guests got to work decorating the fronts of diapers for baby Keyes to wear! Artwork, jokes, prayers, words of wisdom, you name it! What a wonderful idea! I'm sure Maribeth and Jeremy will get lots of smiles (and maybe a tear or two) during diaper change times!
Look at the cute Baby Cake Pops I made!
Only two words are necessary here - Fruit Tea!

The Favor table was so much fun! Candy of every type available and jars for guests to fill up.
The jars had this label on them. So precious, and such a blessing for Maribeth and Jeremy. Every guest at the shower will be reminded to say a little blessing prayer for Keyes every time they enjoy a treat!
Maribeth showed up, a beautiful beaming Mama at 32 weeks, and the fellowship didn't stop for hours!
Here she is with her sweet Mama (and a perfect excuse to show you Lana's AMAZING pool!)
Love abounds in Lana's home, you can just feel it when you walk in the door. Add 50 women clasping hands in prayer, and oh my – let me just say this – tears were shed!
There was eating, there was fellowship, oh, and there were presents!

And because I think this is just so telling of a huge group of women, I just had to show off the "purse pile".
Here's a fun shot of all the hostesses and Maribeth.
Just as things were wrapping up, Daddy to be Jeremy showed up to help haul the loot home!
Such a beautiful day for a beautiful couple. I think the day is best summed up by this verse carved into Lana's basement floor. Absolutely no doubt, Baby Keyes is being born into a family that knows Jesus Christ is their true foundation. He is blessed already!
Congratulations Maribeth and Jeremy! You've waited a long time for this – enjoy every minute!
